Moving to Doodali

Moving from QuickBooks to Doodali

QuickBooks Online exports your customer list to Excel in one click.

Updated 30 September 2026

1. Export from QuickBooks

  1. In QuickBooks Online, go to Sales → Customers (or Customers & leads).
  2. Press the Export to Excel icon above the list.
  3. Open the file and save it as CSV.

2. Import into Doodali

  1. In Doodali, open the business you’re bringing across, then go to Settings → Import and export and press Import clients from a CSV (or press Import on the Clients page).
  2. Choose the file. Doodali reads the column headings and matches them for you: company name, email, phone, address, VAT number, notes, and the contact’s name, email, phone and job title.
  3. Check the matches. Anything Doodali couldn’t match is set to “Skip”: choose a field for it, or leave it out.
  4. Press Import. Each row becomes a client with its main contact. More people at a company that’s already there are added as its contacts, and clients already in Doodali are skipped, so you can import again safely.
