Moving from ActiveCampaign to Doodali
ActiveCampaign exports contacts as a CSV. Clients go into Doodali’s clients; your mailing list goes into Newsletters.
Updated 30 September 2026
1. Export from ActiveCampaign
- In ActiveCampaign, go to Contacts, show all contacts, and choose Export.
- Pick the fields (including organisation) and export as CSV.
2. Import into Doodali
- In Doodali, open the business you’re bringing across, then go to Settings → Import and export and press Import clients from a CSV (or press Import on the Clients page).
- Choose the file. Doodali reads the column headings and matches them for you: company name, email, phone, address, VAT number, notes, and the contact’s name, email, phone and job title.
- Check the matches. Anything Doodali couldn’t match is set to “Skip”: choose a field for it, or leave it out.
- Press Import. Each row becomes a client with its main contact. More people at a company that’s already there are added as its contacts, and clients already in Doodali are skipped, so you can import again safely.
Tips for ActiveCampaign
- For your email list, import the same file in Newsletters → Mailing list instead: it keeps who agreed to hear from you.
